Greetings alumnae and friends,
I am Alicia C. Lane, President of the Detroit Chapter of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (Detroit NAASC). Our chapter began in 1931 with a small group of alumnae who wanted to support the goals and mission of Spelman College. Today we continue that mission of service, sisterhood and scholarship. The current goals of the chapter are to have alumnae:
- Become financial members of Detroit NAASC
- Attend meetings and events
- Volunteer for a committee
- Contribute to the Detroit NAASC 1881 Scholarship Society
The Detroit NAASC website will contain updated and useful information on chapter meetings/events, membership, and the Detroit NAASC 1881 Scholarship Society.
